How it works

Two minutes, start to finish.

  1. A story screen: Voltaire on the king's annoyance, and the arrest that came nineteen days later.

    Read a short story.

Four or five screens, with pictures. Most ideas open on a real moment, like a king's party or a Roman road.

  2. The last screen of an idea: one takeaway, a Try this line, and a Keep the line button.

Keep the line that stays with you.

Every idea ends on one plain takeaway. Keep it, and it waits for you in your Library.

  3. A practice scene at work, with two choices. The better choice is picked and explained.

Then try it on your own day.

Two everyday scenes, two choices each. Pick what you would do, and see why it works.

The Today screen: a week of reading goals met, and today's idea, The Road That Made a Mile.

Today

One idea a day, picked for you.

Open Mindsip and today's idea is waiting: handpicked, about two minutes long, and free every day. Read it in a queue, on the bus or before bed.

  • Free every day. One handpicked idea, no subscription needed.
  • From your topics. Below today's idea, more from the subjects you picked.
  • A nudge, if you want one. A daily reminder at the time you choose.
The streak screen: a seven day streak on the November calendar, one shield ready, a rest day and weekly mode.

Streaks

A streak that forgives.

Mindsip counts one idea a day. When life gets in the way, your streak bends instead of breaking.

  • Shields. Earn one every 7 days. Miss a day and it is used for you, automatically.
  • A rest day. Pick one day a week that never breaks your streak, with no reminder.
  • Weekly mode. Count the weeks that meet your goal, instead of days.
  • Levels and badges. Every idea you read fills your level ring, and badges mark the milestones.

Big topics

AI, explained in plain stories.

How a chatbot learns from text, the moments that changed the field and the wrong turns along the way, told through dated experiments and the people behind them.

Plus money, sleep, space and history, told the same way.

Questions

What is Mindsip?

An iPhone app for learning one big idea at a time. Famous books and big topics are retold as short stories with pictures. Each idea takes about two minutes, ends with one line worth keeping, and then lets you try it on two everyday scenes.

Are these the full books?

No. A book path retells a book's key ideas in our own words, as a set of short stories. It is not the book, and it is not an official summary. If an idea stays with you, the book is the place to go deeper.

Who writes the stories?

Mindsip writes every path. Names, dates and numbers come from the sources, and each idea shows its sources and how firm the evidence is. Book paths are not endorsed by or connected to the authors or publishers.

Is Mindsip free?

Mindsip is free to download. Free gives you one handpicked idea every day, Part 1 of every path, your Library and your streak. Mindsip Plus opens every path and every idea. The app shows each plan and its price before you subscribe.

How do I cancel Mindsip Plus?

Your subscription belongs to your Apple Account. Cancel any time in iPhone Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews to avoid the next charge. Ideas you have already opened stay open.

Where is my data?

On your iPhone. There is no account, and Mindsip never asks for your name or email. Your reading, kept lines and streak stay on your device. The Privacy Policy has the details.
